XCAT World series – Stresa (ITA) 20-22 June 2014

Dal 20 al 22 giugno si è svolta nello specchio d’acqua tra le bellissime isole del lago maggiore, con base a Stresa, la quarta tappa del campionato mondiale di xcat.
I 14 catamarani spinti dai potentissimi motori Mercury si sono sfidati sotto lo sguardo di moltissimi curiosi, assicurando, anche questa volta, uno spettacolo mozzafiato.
Durante le prove il nostro team ha effettuato un unico avvicinamento, per sicurezza, ad una imbarcazione che ha eseguito uno spin out, nessun problema per i due piloti che sono rimasti a bordo del proprio catamarano.
Durante la gara di domenica la lotta per il primo posto tra il team Fendi e il team Fazza ha lasciato il pubblico senza fiato per diversi giri, nel frattempo il nostro rescueteam è intervenuto per uno spin out senza nessuna conseguenza per i piloti che sono solo stati accompagnati a terra da uno dei nostri gommoni con medico a bordo.
A fine gara il podio se lo sono aggiudicato i seguenti team: primo posto Fazza, secondo posto Fendi, terzo posto Yachts Magazine.
Ora non ci resta che aspettare la prossima gara che si terrà a Cascai dal 1 al 3 agosto

From the 20th to the 22nd of June the fourth stage of the XCat World championship has took place in the Maggiore Lake, between the marvelous Borromee islands.

During the race of Sunday, when the fight for the first place between Fendi and Fazza teams has left the public breathless, the BSA team have to step in the circuit to rescue a team which have had a spin out: the pilots have been loaded on the rescue boat for a check with the doctor and brought back to the harbor, but luckily they had no problems.
The final podium: Fazza at the first place, Fendi at the second and Yachts Magazine on the lower step.
Now the next appointment is in Cascais (Portugal) between the 1st and the 3rd of August
